Re-Register or Move to Another Account

The only way a TX60 can be moved to another gateway or user account is to delete it from the account, factory reset it, and re-register. This solution also applies if you must "start over" for any reason. Download any existing data stored on the server, as you cannot recover it once the TX60 registration is deleted from your account.

How to delete your devices off of our website

Log into the account with your username and password. On the left hand side of the screen select the link Temp Sensor 1 or Temperature Sensors (if you have multiple TX60s). Then select each individual sensor name.

Then select

Identify Device

Temp Sensor 1 <---

Each TX60 is summarized on a Your Temperature Sensor(s) page. Click on the button that says Delete (to the right).

To factory reset the TX60U-IT sensor, press and hold the button on the sensor until the LCD displays a full segment (e.g. 18.88).

Your sensor is now ready to be re-registered. From the Home Page, click on Register Device. Next choose the TX60 sensor and follow the instructions online to register.

Data Questions

Data Storage Limits

The TX60 temperature data storage limit varies. We attempt to maintain 30 days of data, however:

  1. Server maintenance work can require us to limit storage duration. The TX60s will generate new data records but we do not restore older data.

  2. Selection of the shortest possible recording interval in your account consumes disk space on the servers. Please be sure this interval is absolutely necessary.

Please schedule a regular interval to manually download your TX60 saved data from the Download history of measured values link in your TX60 user account.

Data Download to Spreadsheet Format

When you download the Excel .xls format TX60 data, it will always download the entire history for all TX60s on that gateway. You can edit/manipulate the data as you wish after the download in any spreadsheet that reads .xls. If you do not know how to use your spreadsheet, please locate a reference manual online or in bookstores. Users with even modest skill can quickly learn how to graph their data. We cannot teach spreadsheet skills.

Data Viewable Online

You can view the current readings of your TX60 sensors on the website without opening the Download link. Simply click on the individual sensor to view the most recent readings in the Latest Measured Values window. This online information can be viewed from any browser.

Data is Stored Online

We store TX60 data online so it can be conveniently accessed to monitor remote locations (e.g. empty vacation homes) from mobile devices. With our servers storing this information, you may do so. The TX60s communication path is:

  • TX60 measures the temp/humidity at the location where it is mounted. At the interval set in your account, it sends a "snapshot" of that moment to the standard gateway.

  • The gateway sends that data snapshot to the server, where it is stored.

  • Users who configured messaging next are sent the appropriate email and/or SMS messages, if their target condition is violated.

  • Users can at some convenient time, choose to download history to Excel - but that is not required.

We will save as much history as is feasible but not at the expense of all Weather Direct® systems. The current limit is 30 days, except during server maintenance windows. We have other products that will write directly to the PC and do not use the internet, but they do not message people when they are away from the PC. The current example of a local PC data-collection type of product is: Weather Station Professional.

Data Access via User Programming

At this time, we do not offer an Application Programming Interface (API) for data. Our protocol is proprietary and will not be released to the public. This product is meant to be affordable to all. It is not cost-effective to support programming issues in this market.
